I, Stella Padilla, am extremely excited to announce that I filed my Declaration of Candidacy for Mayor of this great city of Albuquerque and Intent to Seek Public Financing. As a candidate for mayor and as a concerned citizen, I care about our future and the direction in which our city should move. It’s Time for change, Albuquerque!

Becoming your next mayor is important for the prosperity of the citizens, and that of our city.  I have been actively involved in civic and political issues throughout my career, and I consider that to be my civic duty and contribution to my home town, Albuquerque. For the past year, I have opposed both the Albuquerque Rapid Transit (ART) project and the Santolina Master Plan, and will continue to do so as mayor. As an active and strong opponent of these misguided developments, watching the process unfold has been a disappointing experience, mainly due to the lack of public process and transparency from the city.

Please consider making a donation to my campaign.  We have 8 days to raise seed money for this campaign, so donate now to make the biggest difference in getting me on the ballot and into office.  After the 15th, we won’t be able to take any contributions from our supporters, so this is the only time we’ll be asking you for money.

If you’ve already donated, thank you so much!  Your contribution will help get me on the ballot.  If you’ve got extra time, and want to get more involved, you can sign up here to volunteer.  We need canvassers and community engagement volunteers from Feb. 16th to April 1st.  Thank you for all of your support and be sure to come out to one of my events! You can find a list of events and more about my campaign at Stella4Mayor.com.

Contributions can be up to $100.00 maximum per individual 18 years and older. Contributions can be made with Cash, Check, or Debit Card through ACT Blue, you do not have to be a resident of Albuquerque, or New Mexico.  Thank you in advance for your support.
